So the bad new first...
All the bands that i filmed this past weekend will have to wait to see their footage because Vimeo and Youtube can't handle large files and all of the videos were about 17 minutes long.
so i will have to split them into parts and put them up over the upcoming weekend...
I know this blows
my bad..
Oh but the good news
Ghost Mall is going to be on the cover of the first issue!!!!
Ask for lisa came in second by about a 30 vote loss

Oh and p.s. Young Eight Four Five has two or three new writers on the way and possibly a illustrator!!
Get excited business is kicking off
and
p.s.s. I have recently gotten a internship at the Daily Freeman WOOOO!!!

Hello Paper Planets (0)
Spring is right around the corner, and everyone knows what spring means – The Bamboozle Festival. As you all know, Bamboozle holds the Break Contest every year, to allow one small-town band to play at the big show on May 1st of 2nd. Luckily for the 845, we’ve got some really great bands from our area in the contest, including The Paper Planets and Eurydice. These past two weekends made up the preliminary round of the contest, located at The Chance Theatre in Poughkeepsie, NY. Fortunately for me, I was able to attend the Saturday, January 23rd date.
I was mainly there to support my friends’ band, The Paper Planets, but I made sure to check out the other bands in the contest.
First off, The Chance Theatre has to be my favorite venue, out of all that I’ve been to. Located on Cranell Street, it’s a huge venue that not only takes in famous bands from all over the country, but local bands from the 845, too. It has four different levels leading up to the stage. The first is the balcony. The second has a bar, the soundboard, and some seating. The third has some seating and standing areas. And the fourth is the pit in front of the stage. As far as the stage goes, the lighting is fantastic, as is the amount of space the bands have to use.
For the part of the show that I saw, I had a good time, just as well as the people around me. Everyone enjoyed The Paper Planets’ set, even despite their technical difficulties. This show proved to a lot of us that The Paper Planets could work through any problem. Gabe Dresdale’s (guitarist) amp blew in the middle of their set. With only the drums and a bass to play, they continued their set until someone from another band lent them their own amp, just in time for Gabe’s guitar solo. They came out of the show feeling good, and so did their fans.

So The paper Planets did make it to the next round witch means they will be playing on March 7th at The Chance along with Taxi To Alaska.
So if you want to see a bunch of damn good bands play at one venue on one day contact me or one of the people in the bands!
Videos will be up by midnight... i hope Labels:
